Jesus says, "You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times," - St. Matthew 16:3.

Evidently, when Jesus was on earth, there were glaring signs of his presence at the time. But the religious leaders of his time, missed the prominent signs. Their hearts were so hardened. They could not see the signs of the time. Consequently they missed the presence of the true Messiah they had been expecting. Similarly today, many well-meaning Christians have got themselves so entangled with politics of the day. Their hearts become hardened. They inadvertently traded the good news of the gospel for political gains. They started to believe lies told by politicians that are designed purposely to deceive for political self-interest. Unfortunately, these good-hearted Christians allowed themselves to be deceived and be led astray. But, can we deceive God and get away with it despite the obvious signs of the time? Today, there is a glaring handwriting of God on the wall.

About ten years ago, it became obvious to me that man lives in two different worlds. The first is the physical world and the second is the spiritual world. The physical world can be divided into other sub-divisions, and so is the spiritual world. The physical world can be subdivided into cognitive, emotional, human spirit and the human flesh. The spiritual realm can be subdivided into the Holy Spirit, demonic spirit, and the journey of human spirit. For simplicity, I will stick with the two major divisions for the purpose of this article. When we get too attached and driven by the events of the physical world, the forces of the physical world tend to govern our actions. When we lessened the value of the physical world and embrace the spiritual world of the Holiness of God, we are not only drawn, but also driven by the forces of the invisible world of God.

Jesus made this point very clear when he said, "God is a spirit, those who worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth," – St. John 4:24.

Despite what Jesus said, most of the worship services today are rich in rituals, traditions, and entertainment, but devoid of spiritual intimacy of a relationship with God.

We must learn to walk in the spirit of God. Once we start that journey into the spirit realm as guided by the Holy Spirit, we enter into a spiritual energy field of God. Here some events are made known to us depending on the gates of heavens opening before us. The most important access is the spiritual radio frequency of God through Jesus. Jesus is the communicator to us from God the Father. The radio frequency is through the spiritual realm. The Holy Spirit is the radio wavelength and the messenger. This is the best way for me to explain this until the Lord reveals more to me about the invisible world of God. Another volume of this book is going to be dedicated to the Invisible World of God based on the way I have experienced this for over 50 years.

I have documented over 20 times in the past couple of years when the Holy Spirit revealed things to me and another person will approach me and confirm the divine message. For example, in 2007 during my street ministry, the Lord sent a struggling young single mother to me. This young lady just fell on my lap and started weeping. She wanted me to help her. I asked the Lord what he wanted me to do. Then he gave me a revelation and a confirmation to help her through the mouth of another person. So, I started helping this young lady. After spending some money to help this young lady, I got very frustrated because there seemed to be no end in sight over her struggle. At that time, I ran out of money to give her. Yet, each time I solved one problem, another one would emerge.

One morning I went to buy donuts at Donut Delight on Dunn road, one of my most favorite stores. As soon as I entered the store, the owner who was usually gone home at this time was standing behind the counter. On seeing me entering the store, he grabbed a large box and started filling it with donuts. His name is Jim. He has known me over the years and has given me free donuts before. He told me he could recognize the work I was doing while helping people. The free donuts were his way of paying me back. But, this morning was going to be a very special morning. Needless to say, I’m black and Jim is a Jewish white male. As I entered the store, Jim acted as though he was waiting for me to arrive. He filled the largest box he had with donuts and before handing the donuts to me he said, "Yinka, this donuts will cost you one thing, just stand right there for me." I could not comprehend what he was saying because in the past, he would charge me one dollar for a box of donuts that should cost me $8 to $10. Other times Jim would ask for no money, sometimes I would be a little embarrassed. While I opened my wallet to hand Jim a one-dollar bill as in the past, he did not receive the one-dollar bill from me. Instead he already came out from behind the counter. He asked me to stand right in the middle of the store, as more customers had entered the store to buy donuts. Some of them were looking at us seeing what was about to happen. Jim approached me with a big smile on his face. He told me the donuts would cost me a hug. Jim stood before me and gave me a hug, while he looked directly into my eyes, He said, "thank you." A little confused, I took the box of donuts and hurried out of his store as I started to tremble within. Inside my car, I started to weep. At that moment I felt the might energy of the Holy Spirit upon me. Nobody in my life ever gave me a large box of donuts for a simple hug!

Perhaps people were wondering what was happening. My tears were not over a free box of donuts. Prior to this incident, I have not seen Jim in over a month. I have not done anything for Jim to thank me. How did he know what was going on in my heart that morning if not because God sent him to me? Jim, the owner of the donut store was my human angel sent by God for that day. God used the hands of another person to hug me and said, "thank you" for helping this young single mother. When I got home, I was just telling my wife what happened to me at the donut store. I have not finished telling my story when our house phone rang, and it was this young single mother on the phone. She was stranded and needed money for gas so she could go to work. I documented this particular story in the second volume of this book because I have over 100 testimonies in the first volume, and I ran out of room.

The good news is to be hearing the Voice of God through Jesus. I learned to hear the Voice and carry out the instructions I was given. So, I started receiving divine messages almost everyday. Based on what I have experienced so far, the Lord made me a vessel to touch the lives of other people. He had therefore positioned me to serve him by serving others. Praise God!

One time, I started documenting divine messages by the Holy Spirit. Within a week or two, about three to four preachers would use the same topic to preach either through the television or through the radio programs. At that point, I concluded Jesus sends press releases all the time. The only way we can gain access to these divine messages is to tune to radio heavens by learning to walk in the spirit of God. Unfortunately, many people are tuning to human emotions, desires, and knowledge while missing the divine messages from the Lord. They are therefore missing the signs of the time because they allowed themselves to be deceived.

Signs of the Time

In view of the prevalence of deception within some Christian groups, I want to highlight some of the signs of time we are ignoring and the divine messages accompanying these signs. I am going to try hard not to explain the signs because we tend to go wrong when using human knowledge to explain God’s messages. Only the Holy Spirit can correctly explain divine signs of the Lord. Many times when I tried to explain these signs, I was wrong. However I will deliver a message based on what the Holy Spirit is telling directly into my heart around the ending of the year 2008. There are different types of messages we receive from the spiritual realm. There are direct messages and indirect messages. Direct messages will tell us clearly what was about to happen. The indirect messages may give us a mirror of what is about to happen. People tend to make mistakes when they want to interpret indirect messages. Usually, I will wait till event happen before relating the meaning of indirect messages from the spirit realm. Sometimes, the Holy Spirit would place me in a classroom and just lecture me about the meaning of the indirect messages I was receiving.

A couple of years ago, the Lord woke me up early one Sunday morning. I was a little unhappy because I wanted to sleep till it was time to get up for church. I was led by the eternal spirit of God to turn on the television. As I turned on the television, this television evangelist, Rod Parsley was discussing about his new book, Politically Incorrect. After listening to the entire program about one hour, I asked the Holy Spirit a question, "Why did you wake me up for this?" It was at that moment I heard the divine Voice of the Lord saying, "I will send you as a prophet to the nations." Since then, I have been paying attention to divine messages regarding the United States. What touched my heart in that one-hour program of Rod Parsley was his concern for the poor and those suffering people in Sudan. Perhaps the Lord Jesus was bringing my attention to this. I was not sure. Subsequent revelations affirmed Jesus concerns about those who are suffering and the poor.

I did not want to wait till my first book about my journey with Jesus comes out. I believe people need to know what is happening in the spiritual realm right away because the "Staff of Divine Correction" is presently in our midst. The purpose of the "Staff of Correction is to lead people to repent. Many times people tend to miss the correction factor because their heads are buried in their own emotions and they failed to see the truth. The critical factor is the hardened heart of men against God. This is the time when our human knowledge, emotions, desires and human will-power become adversarial to the purpose of God. God’s purpose can only be revealed through his will, not through human desires. Consequently until we surrender to the will of the Holy Spirit, we cannot effectively hear the Voice of God. I know some good Christian friends, who are well educated, yet they tend to miss God’s purpose because their hearts are so hardened against the will of God. I can understand certain events in their lives and how those events hardened their hearts against the will of God. Yet, they are unaware of their predicament even after I have mentioned it to them. They still refused to change course. In most of the cases, they spend their time dancing to the drumbeat of the physical world, instead of dancing to the drumbeat of God. They are over-emotionalized by the negative events happening to them during difficult times. Sometimes they put God’s faithfulness into question tempting Him. There is nothing that offends God (besides worshipping idols) compared to when we blame him for our life predicaments.

"Today, if you want to hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, as in the day of temptations in the wilderness," Psalm 95:7-8.

Isn’t it true that we tend to blame God during our life crises, especially those crises we brought upon ourselves for being disobedient?

Here, I will outline three major signs of the time and anybody with spiritual perceptions, perhaps may come to an understanding of the events about to happen. As I said earlier, I will not try to explain the signs. Perhaps, I could be wrong. Each person should come to his or her own understanding based on the obvious signs.

Divine Sign # 1

Around December 2006, I started to groan in the spirit after many days of fasting. I must have been groaning for two week in a 21-day fast. I documented this in a chapter called "The Coming Catastrophe." This will be released in the second volume of this book. The scary part of the message was the Holy Spirit reminded me of what happened to Abraham when God was about to reveal to him about his descendants spending 400 in the land of bondage. Interestingly, the events happening to us at this time with the financial crisis mirror some of the events in the Bible due to disobedience against God.

Our human actions tend to orchestrate unfortunate events in the spiritual realm against the nation. Shortly before 2006 was over, as we were getting ready to enter 2007, some events took place in the United States, perhaps political decisions, or the overflow of the cup of iniquity, which sealed the unfortunate fate of the United States. At that time, the Holy Spirit said to me, "The spirit of the Lord is groaning in pain because there is too much bloodshed in the world." Immediately when that vision was revealed to me, I stopped groaning in the spirit. Boy, I felt a great relief.

Later, the Holy Spirit asked me to look at the sin of the nation due to greed as parallel that of David when he slept with Bathsheba the wife of one of his military officers. David ended up killing the husband because of his wife. Having sex with another man’s wife is bad enough, but killing him ignited God’s anger. God sent prophet Nathan to David to announce his displeasure over David’s sin.

This is what Nathan said to David:

"I anointed you king over Israel, and deliver you from the hand of Saul. I gave you your master’s house, and your master’s wives into your keeping, and gave you the house of Israel and Judah. And if that had been too little, I also would have given you much more! Why have you despised the commandment of the Lord, to do evil in his sight? You have killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword of the people of Ammon. Now, therefore the sword shall never depart from your house, because you have despised me, and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife. Thus says the Lord, behold I will raise up adversity against you from your house. I will take your wives before your eyes and give them to your neighbor, and he shall lie with your wives in the sight of this sun. For you did it secretly, but I will do this thing before all Israel before the sun," – II Samuel 12: 7-12.

As I had said earlier, I will not attempt to explain the relatedness of this message to the political events happening around this time. Let anybody who have ears, hear what the spirit of God is telling the nation. I am only a messenger. My purpose is to deliver the message. If the divine message in December 2006 was accurate that Jesus was weeping over bloodshed in the world, what have we done wrong that we need to change? Without repentance only God knows what else is coming down the pipe.

Divine Sign #2

The earthquake of 2008 that hit the St. Louis area caught many of us by surprise. It woke me up. I argued with my wife that it was not an earthquake because of the unusual nature of the accompanying storm. I felt the rushing of the wind as it was described in the Acts on the day of Pentecost. Of course news report confirmed it was an earthquake. While reading my Bible that morning, the after-shock came through exactly the same way, with the rustling of the wind and tremor. At that moment, I bowed my head in prayers and said, "Lord, please reveal to me the reason for this earthquake." Immediately, as God being my witness this day, Psalm 18 appeared on my vision screen. I read the entire psalm. But there was one verse that jumped out at me. It was verse # 7. It says, "Then the earth shook and trembled. The foundations of the hills also quaked and were shaken because God was angry." The next verse was a prophetic statement I could not ignore. It says, "Smoke went up from his nostrils, and devouring fire from his mouth, coal were kindled by it," verse #8.

Once I got up from that prayer, I called as many pastors as I could reach and told them to urgently start praying for our nation. I believe something ominous was about to happen. I gave a testimony about this in my church.

Divine Sign #3

One day based on what I was hearing in the news and the spiritual perception I was experiencing, I asked my wife to take her money and place in a safe area away from the Wall Street. That week, I took all my money out and placed each of my funds in safe investments. I put them in a place where I was told I could not lose my investment, but would receive a small fixed return. I thought I was keeping my money safe. That was what I thought I was doing. The weekend that followed, I saw a very dark slow moving shadow over the nation. Although I did not know what this meant. I told my wife that weekend something bad was about to happen in the nation that would linger for a long time. Again God is my witness, the following day after discussing the revelation with my wife was the Monday the Wall Street crashed.

God’s Moving Hand

Based on the events of the past eight years, is it possible that God raised a staff of negative correction and that of positive correction in the United States? Absalom was used as a staff of negative correction against David. Babylon was used as a staff of negative correction because of the sins of the children of Israel. Jesus came as the staff of positive correction. Yet, the same people he came to save rejected him. From history, negative staff of correction tends to reveal the wickedness in the heart of men while positive staff of correction gives people opportunity for repentance and correction. Based on the events in the Bible, negative staff of correction is usually the forerunner of the positive staff of correction. Comparing the events experienced in this nation over the past eight years. These include greed and the suffering of the poor; religious hypocrisy and the gospel of political correctness; Christianity and hate rhetoric; family values and the policies of economic genocide. Who is this staff of negative correction, and who is this staff of positive correction?

Anybody who is a God spiritualist can read the signs of the time. God’s mighty hand is moving in the earth. Perhaps what we are seeing may just be the tip of the iceberg. Without any doubt, God is reaching out to us and giving us the opportunity to repent. Over two thousand years ago, he gave us the gift of a child called Jesus. Again, he is reaching out his hand through Our Lord Jesus Christ to reveal a staff of correction to the nation. Are we so much buried into politics that we are unable to discern the glaring signs of the time?

"The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and he delight in his way. Though he falls, he shall not be utterly cast down. For the Lord upholds him with his hand," Psalm 37:23-24.

Under the Curse

Christians believe in praying and getting responses from God. But, many are unaware of the retributive law of justice established by God over the ages. When people do evil, evil is manifested in their lives, and violence begat violence. This is not just a slogan; it is the way God created the world. There are some curses God placed on earth as divine rules to discourage people from evil.

"Behold, I set before you today a blessing and a curse, the blessing if you obey the commandment of the Lord, and curses if you do not obey," – Deuteronomy 11:26-28.

Therefore when we choose to commit sin, we inadvertently invite evil to come upon us by our own doing. This was not what God did. It was what we brought upon ourselves for following the deeds of the devil. In Deuteronomy chapter 27 and 28, Moses discusses some of the curses God placed in the earthly realm. In Matthew chapter 23, even Jesus placed his own curses against evil deeds. God can forgive us when we sin, but the consequences of sin remained.

Each time we encounter evil; our purpose is to trust in the Lord and not in people. Jesus can remove any curse. When we do the wrong thing, we are required to ask God for forgiveness while we repent.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths," Proverb 3:5.

Do we really trust in the Lord? If we call ourselves Christians, why do we act as though the words of God are just poems to read and sing? Yet, many of us refuse to live by these principles. We get so emotionalized by what happens in the physical realm, we tend to forget the only one vote that counts. That vote represents the will of God regardless to what people think.

"Unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given. And the government will be upon his shoulder. And his name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end," - Isaiah 9:6-7.

While people are still looking at man for solutions, the CEO of heaven says, he already placed Jesus in-charge. Jesus himself said, "All powers have been given to me." Despite the word of God, some Christians are still losing sleep over the election results. I wonder if these Christians truly believe in God? Perhaps they are so emotionalized by current social events and failed to see the glaring signs of the time. When we refuse to repent of sins, we will one day face the painful consequences.

"But, those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles. They shall run, and not weary. They shall walk and not faint," - Isaiah 40:31.

 My testimonies for Jesus are chronicled in the book, Closer Walk With Thee. I never thought in my life and my spiritual journey, I would ever get to a point when I would be hearing the Voice of God loud and clear. I never believe the Holy Spirit would come and lecture me. Today, I not only hear the Voice of God, I also feel the intensity of his divine energy. The Holy Spirit told me I was designed to be an energy carrier for the Lord into situations. Sometimes, the intensity of that spiritual energy can be very overwhelming indeed. My greatest and most powerful experiences were the visitations of Christ to me. At times when I recollect some of these experiences, I just wept because I know I am so unworthy to serve him. Yet, the Lord Jesus spent so many hours with me training me to serve his purpose.
