Sid Roth: Washington DC Prayer Meeting for Elected Officials, Oct. 28, 2011

Press Release: Lara Publications, St. Louis, MO. Nov. 9, 2011 – Early this year, a request was sent to about 50 tele-evangelists, and well known Christian leaders to come with us and pray with President Obama in the White House. About a handful of them responded and turned down the invitation while majority of them did not even respond at all, despite repeated efforts to communicate with them. A couple of them who indicated they might be going later dropped off along the way. The only person who accepted the call to go with us to the White House was the Evangelist Sid Roth of Messianic Vision of the TV-program It’s Supernatural. An invitation was presented to the White House scheduling office about the prayer meeting. The invitation was declined due to scheduling conflicts with President Obama’s schedule. We were spiritually motivated to move the prayer meeting to another location besides the White House and opened it up to the public, including praying for other elected officials.

All the updates of the changes were forwarded to Evangelist Sid Roth’s assistant as indicated in some of the emails below. It turned out that she was on vacation at the time, and Sid himself was out of town. By the time he was finally notified of the changes he was surprised and refused to join the prayer meeting because it was moved out of the White House. On Friday Sept. 30, I had a telephone conversation with Sid who was upset he was just getting the message about the change in location of the prayer meeting from the White House to the Hylton Memorial Chapel in Woodbridge, VA. He said I put him in a difficult situation, and he promised to pray on it, and let me know the following day his decision. About one hour following the conversation with Sid, his assistant called me back to say Sid was not coming to the prayer meeting to speak. The following Monday after this conversation with Sid, all radio advertisements with Sid Roth’s name were stopped, and replaced with the ones without his name. Despite, I made a last minute plead with the White House scheduling office. I even tried to contact another well-known tele-evangelist to intervene, I was unsuccessful. However we could not change the flyers that were already printed. About a week prior to the prayer meeting, Lara Publication issued a national press release about the prayer meeting, and apologized to anybody who got offended because the prayer meeting was moved out of the White House.

I do not blame Evangelist Sid Roth for declining to come to the prayer meeting, nor his assistant for not updating him about the prayer meeting because she was on vacation. Neither will I blame the White House, which was unable to accommodate the prayer meeting schedule due to scheduling conflicts. I respect the individual choices people make.

I give a giant praise however, to Evangelist Sid Roth of Messianic Vision for accepting the original invitation to go into the White House with us, and pray with President Obama. Of all the Christian leaders invited, he was the only one who agreed to go with us, including another Christian leader. Because of that, I am profoundly very grateful. However, the refusal of the rest of the Christian leaders leaves a very troubling trend in Christianity today. I do not know anything more important than praying for our elected leaders who are responsible for making public policies that govern this nation. If our Christianity has come to the point of building walls instead of building bridges, by only having discussions or prayers with the only people that agree with us, we have serious problems. In reality, we have lost the real essence of Christianity as defined by Jesus Christ. Jesus said, "Go ye into the world and preach the gospel to all people" (St. Mark 16:15). Jesus did not say, go and preach the gospel only to your friends, while condemning others who disagree with you. This is one of the reasons why Christianity is failing among some Christian college youths because of the conflicting messages the church is sending them.

From my own personal opinion comparing the events that happened during and after the prayer meeting, including the prophetic messages coming out of the event, I strongly believe God was the only hand that was moving the entire event and situations. God did this for one major reason that people will experience His mighty working hand, and no man shall glory before Him!

The shocking divine messages that come out of this prayer meeting will be released later this year, 2011. The report is presently being put together as the Lord’s message to the body of Christ. Stay tuned for the report.

"Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom. Let not the mighty man glory in his might. Nor let the rich man glory in his riches. But, let him who glories glory in this, that he understands and know Me, that I am the Lord exercising loving kindness, judgment, righteousness, in the earth. For in these I delight," says the Lord (Jeremiah 9:23-24).

As we serve the Lord, we should always remember to humble ourselves, our title, money, power, or fame, do not impress God, and neither is anything that we do for him. God’s greatest joy lies in us opening ourselves so God can accomplish his purpose through us for a glorious end and put the devil to shame. That was why Jesus said God was always looking for people to worship him in Spirit and in truth, so his purpose could be revealed through us to the dying world.

Hi Victor,

Sorry it’s taken me a while to get back with you.  Sid would like to know if President Obama will be at the prayer meeting and how many people are you expecting to be there?  The flyers look really nice. J

 Thanks and Blessings,

Pat

 Dear Pat:

How're you doing? I hope you received all the emails I have been sending you. Please keep Sid updated regarding the prayer meeting in Washington DC. See the attachments.

The Lord just placed a message on my heart this morning (2 am CT). Tell Sid to please not get angry with President Obama. There is a mystery to his presidency I do not believe anybody knows. I can only go by what the Holy Spirit is telling me. Tell him to depend on nobody but the Holy Spirit of God through Jesus.

Congratulations on the purchase of a new building. When are you all moving? I plan to come and visit your new place after you move to N.Carolina.

 Greetings,

Victor Vidal

I will send all the information later today. I have been working around the clock with the White House scheduling office, Obama Campaign and the White house press office. This is a monumental task.

As soon As I have a breakthrough, I will let you know. However, I will e-mail you the tentative date of the prayer meeting today including the tentative list presented to the White House.

Please be patient with me.

Hi Yinka,

Hope all is well with you.  It’s been a while since we have heard from you, and Sid was wondering if you are able to give him an approximate date you are looking at for the prayer at the White House with President Obama and other pastors/ministries as his calendar is filling up quickly.  He would also  like to talk with you about the prayer event, but doesn’t have a phone number for you.  Would you be so kind to send him your cell number so he can connect with you regarding this.

This is a big task and I know it is taking time to get it together, but if you could email me your cell number I would appreciate it very much.

I look forward to hearing from you.

 Many Blessings,

Pat

Hi Victor,

Sid accepts your invitation.  Just let me know the date.  His calendar is kinda full for May and June.  If you can give me several dates to choose from that would be great.

Blessings,

Pat
